The Melbourne Arts Students Society (M-ASS) invites you to the BIGGEST and BEST Orientation Camp UniMelb has to offer – Arts Camp 2026 – LAKE LICOLA edition!

Spend the weekend away at Licola Wilderness Village with over 200 fellow campers (aka your new best friends) involving epic challenges, parties with some incredible DJ’s, river swims and wholesome vibes.

Going on Arts Camp is the ultimate way to kickstart your UniMelb experience, guaranteeing lifelong memories and good mates.

Tickets are open to incoming first years aged 18-22 (regardless of faculty). Did we mention that accommodation, transport, facilities, food, alcohol, and the cutest t-shirt a lakesider could own are ALL INCLUDED?!! *gasp*

How to buy a ticket to Arts Camp 2026: 

Places are filled on a first-come basis, so get your application in ASAP to get added to the waitlist

     Step 1: Download and read through the Camper Information Pack.

     Step 2: Fill out the Arts Camp 2026 Waitlist Application Form.  

     Step 5: Await your confirmation from the M-ASS team if a camper spot becomes available – this will come in the form of an email and a text message.

Further Information:

Age Restrictions: 
Arts Camp 2026 is STRICTLY an 18-22 event (must be 18 by 06/03/26). ID’s will be checked and approved before the event. Anyone who is not 18 or over; or over the age of 22 will be denied from attending Arts Camp 2026. 

Course Restrictions: 
NONE! All incoming first years attending the University of Melbourne (regardless of faculty) are welcome to attend Arts Camp 2026. Student ID’s will be checked and approved by the before the event. Anyone who has purchased an Arts Camp 2026 ticket who is not in first year / does not attend the University of Melbourne will be denied from attending the event. 

Camping: 
Campers will be staying in cabins, equipped with bunk beds, during the entire duration of Arts Camp 2026. Campers will be served 3 catered meals each day, including a range of options for any dietary requirements. 

There is mobile reception at Licola Wilderness Village. However, M-ASS values the formation of interpersonal and social connections, and Arts Camp 2026 is dedicated to eliminating screen time across the entire weekend. For more information, please refer to the Parent Information Pack.

Alcohol and Drugs: 
There are STRICTLY NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL to be brought on Arts Camp 2026. Alcohol will be provided to campers during the event. All of our Arts Camp Leaders have completed their Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificates, and the executive team of M-ASS has obtained a Liquor License for the event. Campers will NOT be forced to drink anything they don’t wish to. There will be non-alcoholic options available for those who do not wish to drink alcohol during the weekend. 

Anyone caught bringing in / consuming their own drugs and/or alcohol will be driven to the nearest train station (Traralgon Station) to be sent home.

COVID-19 Safety: 
M-ASS is committed to running a COVID Safe event in compliance with the guidelines from Melbourne University and all current Victorian Government restrictions. Please reach out to us if you have any further questions. 

Health and Safety: 
There will be a team of medics during the entire course of Arts Camp 2026, with 24 hour care provided. 

Welfare shifts and roaming shifts will be conducted by Arts Camp Leaders during the entire weekend to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all campers. For more information, please refer to our Parent Information Pack

M-ASS has zero tolerance for sexual assault and sexual harassment, and attendees of this event will be expected to abide by the code of conduct outlined by the University: Respect Now Always. Further information is outlined in our Parent Information Pack

There are strictly NO REFUNDS on Arts Camp 2026 tickets on the grounds of ‘change of mind’. 

However, we understand that plans change and due to unforeseen circumstances you may no longer be able to attend Arts Camp. In this case, refund requests will be processed at the discretion of the executive committee. Please contact arts.president@gmail.com for further information. 

Should Arts Camp be prevented from going ahead on the originally planned dates, it will be postponed to a secondary date. In this case, any tickets held from the original weekend will still be valid, and anyone unavailable to attend the secondary date will be issued a full refund.

Arts Camp 2026 ticket sales will open on the 9th of January
